Responsible for the Zurich Insurance relationship around the globe the last 3 years – - focussing on websites, digital advertising/lead generation, and social media.  Key challenges: stabilise fledgling account, improve quality of work and relationship, develop the business.  Achievements: business grew by 800%, won assignments from different parts of the Zurich business (e.g. Zurich Connect) and from different markets (e.g. Brazil), Zurich won DMA Marketer of the year 2009, Zurich broke into Top 100 global brands for first time in its history in 2010 (Interbrand).

Produced marketing and communications plan for home refurbishment company.  Evolved into NED and Communications Advisor role.

 


Brought in on a 6 month consultancy contract to deliver a strategic ‘vision’ and implementation plan for relationship marketing.  Audited key programmes in different countries and researched the latest academic studies on relationship marketing.  Recommendations focussed on advocacy/social networking and new local/centralised management structure.  Plan implemented on a worldwide basis.

Audited Direct Marketing dept of Standard Life Healthcare.  Reported on effectiveness of dept with a particular focus upon campaign planning and output.  Project included detailed interviews with members of the dept and the parts of the company that they worked with, several days of observation within the dept and a thorough analysis on marketing plans.  Recommendations implemented within 6 months of report.

Delivered workshops on word of mouth marketing for sales and marketing managers within Royal Mail.  Also spoke at key management events ‘evangelising’ about word of mouth marketing.  Royal Mail now sponsoring thought leadership articles, events and research re: word of mouth marketing.

Produced marketing and communications plan for data and social media business based in Italy and UK.  This included developing their positioning as ‘pioneers in social data.

 


Serve as NED for this integrated agency in Kingston.  Contribute to the running of the agency at monthly Management Meetings as well as supporting on ad hoc initiatives.
